Nolan Martin
Comprehensive financial planning for individuals, families, and business owners: helping clients build, preserve, and transfer wealth through integrated investment, tax, estate, and business strategies.
Nolan Martin is a Certified Financial Planner™ at ArchAngel Financial Services, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Services from the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University. During his time at San Diego State, Nolan gained experience working in Tax and Insurance, eventually earning the Enrolled Agent designation for tax professionals.
Nolan grew up in the family businesses his parents, Chris and Victoria Martin, built. From a young age, he was surrounded by the day-to-day realities of building and running a business, as well as the financial decisions that come with creating something to support a family and future generations. That experience gave Nolan an early and personal understanding of the connection between business ownership, wealth creation, taxes, and long-term financial planning. It also played a significant role in shaping his decision to pursue a career helping families and business owners navigate those same decisions.
Right after graduating college, Nolan joined a Registered Investment Advisor in Carlsbad, California, where he spent the next four years honing his skills across both wealth management and tax planning. His work on the tax team, side by side with the lead CPA, developing sophisticated tax plans for their highest net worth clients, allowed him to gain experience that would normally take decades to acquire. His work included comprehensive financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, and proactive tax strategies, giving him a strong foundation in coordinating the different areas of a client's financial life.
Today, Nolan works with individuals, families, and business owners on comprehensive financial planning, including investment management, retirement planning, advanced tax planning, estate planning, and business succession planning. As a CFP® professional and EA, he incorporates tax strategy into the broader planning process, helping clients make informed decisions that align their investments, tax strategies, estate plans, and long-term goals.
For business owners, Nolan brings a firsthand understanding of what their business can represent — not just as an investment, but as a significant part of their family's wealth and future. He helps coordinate business and personal financial planning, including succession strategies and the transition of business wealth to future generations.
Outside the office, Nolan enjoys surfing, exploring San Diego's dining scene, playing tennis and padel, and snowboarding.
